Terri Otani was detained at the Federal Detention Center for the night. She is the executive director of a firm with a lot of political influence. Thousands of dollars were donated to Kaneshiro’s campaigns by firm employees and their families throughout his time as a prosecutor.
Dwight Nakamoto, Kaneshiro’s former first assistant in the prosecutor’s office, was the last witness to testify before the grand jury on June 2, just before the indictments were handed down.
