- Launch the Facebook iOS app.
- Tap on the hamburger icon (three lines).
- Tap on Settings & Privacy, then Settings.
- Swipe down again and choose Account Ownership and Control.
- Tap Deactivation or Deletion.
- Follow the prompts to delete your account.
If you want to permanently delete your Facebook account, here’s how:
Sign in to your account and go to Settings. Tap Security. Under Account Security, click Deactivate Your Account. Enter your password. Tap Deactivate. When asked if you’re sure you want to deactivate your account, tap Deactivate Now. (You can’t undo this.) Return to the previous screen and tap Delete My Account to confirm that you want Facebook to delete all of the following from its servers: Your account information
The posts on timelines that you own You’ll get a final warning, followed by a message confirming that your account is deleted. If Facebook deletes any messages with a friend, they will no longer be visible to you.
Swipe left on the post or comment that you want to hide forever. In the top right corner of your News Feed, tap More. Tap Report. Tap Mark as Spam or Report > Flag for Deletion.
