Victoria Monet and her boyfriend John Gaines welcomed their first child in February of last year. And now that the baby is getting older, becoming more of a presence on social media, fans think that Monet “recreated W.E.B. Du Bois’ baby.”

In actuality, fans are saying that Monet, Gains, and their one-year-old daughter all look like the Du Bois family as a whole.

“She looks like your daughter,” one Twitter user wrote, directing the comment towards Monet regarding Du Bois’ daughter, Nina Yolande Du Bois.
Another echoed the sentiment by saying, “I thought the same EXACT thing.”
A third user chimed in agreeing, “She looks like baby Hazel Monet.”
And of course, there were a multitude of comments that read, “beautiful family” and simply, “beautiful.
When Hazel was born, the first-time mommy posted an endearing photo on Instagram of herself holding her daugther’s hand. She captioned the photo, “Hazel Monét Gaines ? 2/21/21. Mommy and Daddy love you so much!!!” Adding, “Welcome to the world.”
The 27-year old songwriter/producer, who wrote Ariana Grande’s hit song, “Thank U Next,” has been very candid and open about her journey to protect her daughter from the risk of having food related problems. She is a staunch believer in using the @readysetfood method.
