Nigerian rapper Erigga has once again made a provocative statement, this time targeting the increasing popularity of Brazilian Butt Lifts (BBLs) among women.
Erigga, known for his unfiltered commentary, did not hold back in his criticism of women opting for BBL surgeries. He suggested that their motivation behind it is solely to attract the attention of men.
In a straight-to-the-point message, Erigga stated,
“Your ass is literally BEHIND you. You don’t even see it unless you turn around and look in a mirror, so YES, getting a BBL is 10000% for the gaze of others, most likely men…stop the bullshit!”
This is not the first time Erigga has sparked controversy with his statements. Recently, he advised men to “stop chasing girls” without providing a specific reason for his advice. Many speculate that economic concerns in Nigeria may have influenced his message.
The challenges faced by young men in competing with the extravagant lifestyles of individuals involved in fraudulent activities, commonly known as Yahoo Boys, have been a recurring theme in his statements.
Back in 2020, Erigga also cautioned young men about dating girls who had been associated with Yahoo Boys. He shared his warning through a post on his official Twitter handle.
Although he did not explicitly explain the reasoning behind his advice, many of his followers speculate that it relates to the financial divide between law-abiding young men and those benefiting from illegal activities.
